Gazette readers will have noticed that over the last three weeks there has been a change in the Gazette’s pro Iain Malcolm Council’s stance. Instead of the usual daily dose of Malcolm diarrhoea someone at the Gazette actually had the balls to criticise the council .. good on yeah!
Mr Monkey has now got to the bottom of this mystery and it appears that the reason behind this sudden realigning of the Gazette was due to the fact that ‘Papa John’ Szymanski was on holiday.
Unfortunately all good things come to an end and Papa John is back in Malcolm’s pocket at his desk, and can’t you tell?
In what appears to be a desperate attempt to make it up to Iain, Papa John has got a little carried away and Mr Monkey wonders whether readers spotted the deliberate mistake on page 9 of last night’s Gazette.
Accompanying an article entitled ‘Estate’s Recycling Challenge’ was a picture of Iain Malcolm, yet the caption states “Be Green … Coun Ed Malcolm”. On closer examination the article refers to Simonside and Rekendyke ward and clearly has nothing to do with Iain Malcolm.
Mr Monkey appreciates that you’ve been away Papa John but even your rose tinted spectcles couldn’t get these two mixed up!
