“The Mackem Hobbit” – I have a feeling that this non de plume is going to hang around for a long time.

I can’t wait for Pudgy Face’s comments which he will no doubt attach to Rigg’s post match analysis – the “lads” deserved better, the “lads” did well, the “ref” needs glasses etc etc – you know the usual level of drivel he normally comes out with when he tries to portray himself as a “man of the people”.

Sadly, Penfold (remember “Dangermouse”?) Potts reminds me of the character in the Fast Show who as a supporter of “the Arsenal”, tried with unmitigated failure to identify himself with his working class and committed fellow supporters. He also has an uncanny resemblance to the shows “Ron Manager”, a pundit who talked garbage and was ridiculed by his colleagues.

    Sound familiar Tory Boy!
