Gaza Atrocities Revealed

Seems everyone has an opinion about the Gaza conflict and a week after a ceasefire was declared, Mr Monkey is beginning to get a clearer picture about some of the atrocities that were committed against the people of Gaza.

Mr Monkey would like to share this picture with his readers.

Take a look at this slide show by CLICKING HERE – this is what happens when world leaders including our own Prime Minister, Gordon Brown and his Foreign Secretary, David Miliband fail to take decisive action to stop the use of disproportionate force against a largely civilian population trapped in one of the world’s most densely populated areas.

Mr Monkey makes no apologies for his slide show and reckons that these pictures speak louder than any words.

BUT BE WARNED you may find some of the images disturbing.

    Absolutely shocking.

This is however, the basis of the protests which have been taking place across South Tyneside over the last few weeks. Good luck to those involved – if young people miss a days schooling in order to express their revulsion, then so what.

What the likes of Curly and his right wing propagandists have failed to address or acknowledge, is the number of white, middle class parents who take their children out of school in term time to go on holiday in sunny Spain, Italy, Greece etc. Their actions are classed as “unauthorised absences”, but is any action taken – of course not.

But what is more educational – sitting on a beach watching mam and dad sipping sangria and munching on crostini, or being involved in peaceful opposition to these dreadful scenes?

Any potential councillor who may find himself in hot water over a recent demonstration would be well served to lodge a FoI request on the subject. I suspect the figures will show that more school days are lost due to year on year holiday absences, than an isolated, but humanitarian inspired, demonstration.

I think you get the point.

As they say, a picture paints a thousand words, may the world leaders that did little or nothing to address this issue hand their heads in shame.

If the pricks in the Town Hall + Potts want to slam Ahmed Khan for being on the town hall steps, I hope they are going to hammer the other two COUNCILLORS that were hanging round to get themselves on camera-
    Audrey McMilligan and John Anglin.
