comment moderation on until 8.30am tomorrow

With all the activity surrounding Mr Monkey’s revelations about the corrupt election practices of council leader Iain Malcolm and his stooges in the local Labour party, many of the regular features on Mr Monkey’s Blog have been put on hold.

Last night Mr Monkey received a request from a blogger to apply comment moderation for a couple of hours.

Mr Monkey has gone one stage further and has now turned on comment moderation for the next 24 hours

Until 8.30am tomorrow bloggers will be able to post comments, tip offs, leads or whistleblow on issues that are of public interest safe in the knowledge that only Mr Monkey will see the information they post.

By activating comment moderation, Mr Monkey is allowing people to say things directly to him and in private – it’s just like sending him an e-mail.

Here’s a few basic rules to ensure your privacy:

  • If you don’t want Mr Monkey to make any reference to you or your details please start your comment with the word CONFIDENTIAL.
  • If you’re happy for Mr Monkey to make reference to your comment but don’t want to be identified start you comment with the word PRIVATE.
  • If you’re worried about your privacy use a fictious name and e-mail address and use someone else’s computer.
  • NEVER USE A WORK COMPUTER IF YOU WANT TO SAY SOMETHING IN CONFIDENCE TO MR MONKEY, YOU CAN BE TRACED.
