Has Mr Monkey sailed off into the sunset?

'Mr Monkey sails off into the sunset but'

'Mr Monkey sails off into the sunset but'

From midnight tonight Mr Monkey will no longer be posting any new material on his blog.

The decision to call it day was a difficult one because Mr Monkey knows that he has built up a large following in record time. He’s caused mayhem in the corridors of power and he’s enjoyed every minute of his blogging experience.

This chimp is especially happy to know that every senior council officer, councillor and the editor of the Shields Gazette are scared shit less at the thought of being featured on Mr Monkey’s Blog. But the icing on the cake was knowing that Mr Monkey put an end to the Westminster ambitions of councillors David Potts and Ed Malcolm and exposed council leader Iain Malcolm as an election fraudster.

Although no new material will be posted on this blog, Mr Monkey has decided to leave the site as it is so that bloggers can trawl through the archives to learn more about Mr Monkey’s crusade to expose the corruption, scheming and cheating that has become so entrenched in local politics.

He will be making a further announcement on September 1st .

Ive just recently startedto read these blogs. Surely if it is true about Ian Malcolm then would this not be a matter for further investigation and a possible sacking, and a sentence. Ive met MR Malcolm and to be honest I dont understand why people rush about after him and kiss his arse hes just a councillor….but god does he love it. And to be honest I find him creepy.

Dear Mr Monkey. I cant wait until sept 1st to find out what your on about. Are you going to reveale whom you are? Or are you going to reveal some kind of information about one of the town hall dinosaurs. And why you stops leaving blogs now but are waiting until Sept 1st. God damn you Mr Monkey. I would like to know what the rest of you all think. Im dieing to know who Mr Monkey is. But the chances are that if you do reveal yourself on Sept 1st I wont have a clue who you are anyway. I bet you used to work in the town hall or still do. I hope you are waiting until Sept 1st because that is when you retire from the town hall. All I do know is that I think what you have done here is very good for our community which is the very thing the town hall is there to represent and you have done it a greater justice by telling the truth than they have done for years I hope more people read the blogs and realise that these people whos wages we pay are taking the piss on many different levels. They should be going out there way to find out what the people of South Tyneside need and want not just tick boxes and do it all there way. They stats look great but the town centres look like shit. Only last week a friend from Sunderland said its a dump. And he was right its a shit hole down town. Just look like a large laygate

  47. 17/10/2010 at 02:43

Yeah a typical conspiracy nut who will never reveal his true identity because he is a coward. I know a number of nutcase’s like monkey who claim to have access to the truth, but cannot prove their claims and quote hearsay with no basis in the truth. Probably some disgruntled idiot with a borderline paranoid schizoid personality disorder. They are probably some extreme left wing Councillor or a sacked local government employee, who has been sacked with good reason judging their comments.

I would imagine why they abandoned the blog was because legal action was being taken and the website IP address was being traced with a view to investigating the author for defamation of character. I wonder if they are a friend of Damien McBride the disgraced employee of Gordon Brown. Are they related to the unhinged SNP Councillor Alan O’Brien of North Lanarkshire Council, because this blog certainly runs parallel to O’Brien’s paranoid delusions about Labour Councillors in North Lanarkshire and certainly the wording match’s O’Brien’s own delusional unsubstantiated rants, concerning Labour Councillors in NLC or perhaps like O’Brien monkey is a member of the loony illuminate?

Why is South Tyneside Council taking twitter to court if this blog has allegedly been saying slandererus things about them. You as an individual may get exposed by these scummers, but congratulations on getting global exposure for what they have been up to.

For years I have – through my own experience and that of my family being council employees – either witnessed or heard first-hand accounts of corruption and self-serving by councillors.

Well done for showing some of these toe-rags up for what they are.

The consequences of being exposed will hurt for a while, but in the long run you will come out the hero. Hang in there. There are many of us round the world reading about Twitter giving out your details at OUR BLOODY EXPENSE and we’re on your side.

The councillors involved now look far worse, and to a larger audience.

    Well done.

I thought it was Hartlepool that hang monkeys?

Clearly, South Tyneside feeling left out – want a bit of history for them selves. Great Social Media stunt to bring attention to their council. One things for sure, their comms team will pass into legend for forgetting to register a twitter account and win followers.

And here is who they defended: “What a W**ker”

What risk to these Cllrs? Once again its taxpayers money being used.
Is there a Council that gets it about being responsible with our money?

  57. 30/05/2011 at 00:25

I told you more than once that you’d lose everything you own. Well done on making me right.

  59. 60 John of Wallasey
    30/05/2011 at 01:02

Well said John and Ernicog, How many ordiary people have the funds to take on a Council in court to defend an action against for the alleged libel of one of there employees. South Tyneside Council are using tax payer money to go after Our Hero by stating they have a “Duty of Care” towards these Councilors and Officers. When did any council get the powers to defend an alleged personal Libel case on behalf of it’s employees? When did any councilor(s) get the right to free legal aid, for the purpose of perusing alleged personal libel cases at local taxpayers expense. Furthermore a “Duty of Care” by any organization would be for employees
and as councilors are elected they are not employees of the council. If this goes unchallenged it will only make a grate deal of money for the legal profession and the corrupt will issue libel proceedings against any one mentioned there name and didn’t agree with unlimited funds to fight there case regardless of the out come.
How much is this going to cost South Tyneside Council and who’s jobs are they going to cut to fund it?

  60. 61 John of Wallasey
    30/05/2011 at 01:09

Is Mr Retribution to cowedly to reveal his own name whilst asking others to do so? i might be sure that he is far more adept at squirming than a Monkey.

  61. 62 Graham Smith

I think all readers of this blog need to say a very big “thank you” to those council officers who ensured councillors antics gained national prominence over the bank holiday weekend by taking Twitter to court.

Without those officers, I (and many thousands like me) would never have heard of Councillor Iain Malcolm.

Even if Mr Monkey is exposed. So what, he has said that some of the council takes drugs and drink vodka, and that they are corrupt. Well sorry to tell you this but we all knew this before Mr Monkey said it ask any person who has an interest in the council running Sunny South Shields. And when we do find out who he is then he will have to tell us who told him these stories of certain councilers and most if not all of it is probally true. The council will spend thousands while some poor begger is out of a job. Good work again. What do they hope to achieve. If I was being accused of these things and they were not true I would not care 1 bit, and if I was botherd I would have commented on this blog perhaps to let the people know the truth. Transparent people that’s who we want spending our money, not these joker’s wasting it.

  65. 66 Stargate?
    02/06/2011 at 08:02

To be a councillor for South Shields is, or should be, a privilege and NOT a lucrative career path. Nor should it be used as a vehicle for clannish, ‘Old boy’ types to gain a second income, or climb to higher… better-paid office.

If ONE PERCENT of what has been posted on this site is true, then the people responsible SHOULD be publicly humiliated. REPEATEDLY.

I, for one, applaud our simian source for his efforts. I would also GLADLY contribute what I can financially in order to help to any legal cost needed in defence of his efforts to show these miscreants for what they are in the cold light of day.

Using OUR money, ESPECIALLY in these times of manufactured austerity, to protect the ‘good name’ of the type individuals that have systematically destroyed democracy at local level is morally and philosophically reprehensible.

Some of us gave our sons and daughters in conflicts abroad for the concept that democracy is worth fighting for.

Through two world wars, we have sacrificed our young men and women.

Temple Memorial Park (To give it it’s proper nomenclature) was ‘Given’ to the town in recognition of our sacrifices. “…for use solely in the pursuit of liesure”. What do the ‘Councillors’ do with this gift?

They build a Fire-station on the land… but it’s ok, they called it a ‘Community’ Fire Station. So much for honouring our war-dead.

THEN, they say “There won’t be any more building on the land”… well, watch this space.

    Call me what you like.

    Things like MR Monkey?

Are needed NOW more than ever.

No newspaper has commented upon the actual accusations, to my knowledge. The provincial rag that seems to be the provisional wing of this group (I hesitate to classify them as Labour, Tory, or Independent as I maintain that they do not follow the ideology of any political alleigence other than their own) has been very vague about specifics, other than those they have been fed.

They say you get the governance you deserve.

What the hell did we do to deserve these guys?

I know that NIA was run by people who could not run a p..up in a brewery and are about to charge the rate payers of the northeast a small fortune which will not compare with what Parkin got at the end of his tenure at NIA. They are definately all in on it. MY QUESTION IS CAN ONE MAN BE AT ONE PLACE AT ONCE?

September 2009 passed years ago. I think it’s safe to say that Mr.Monkey died in some sewer somewhere and the council searching for him have been on a wild goose hunt! They’ve finally called the hunt off after several years and after blowing £214,000 in pursuit of a dead man…
