comment moderation attracts record numbers

'another record day'

'another record day'

Yesterday’s comment moderation seems to have attracted a record number of visitors to Mr Monkeys Blog. Besides getting a number of useful comments from bloggers, Mr Monkeys Blog received 3,247 hits, this is the highest number of hits in a single since the blog started.

This chimp cannot be certain that comment moderation was responsible for the increase in hits, but judging by the number of comments left it certainly played it’s part.

“the best-read political blog in the borough”

Seems Friday the 13th is’nt unlucky after all, at least not for Mr Monkey.

Yesterday Mr Monkey’s Blog set a new record for visitors with 2,373 hits being recorded. These impressive stats are just the latest in a long line which have helped turn Mr Monkey’s Blog into the best-read political blog in the borough”.

Mr Monkey has been analysing yesterday’s traffic and it seems these posts were largely responsible for yesterday’s increase in traffic.

Wow!

In December bloggers will remember that Mr Monkey was astounded by how popular his blog had become in just 6 short months and judging by January’s stats it would seem that word is spreading fast and that Mr Monkey’s popularity knows no bounds.

Mr Monkey has just been analysing last month’s stats and can confirm that January has been the best ever month for visitors. In January Mr Monkey’s Blog received over 10,000 more views than in Decemebr with a total of 42,034 views being recorded.

Mr Monkey would like to thank all his readers for making Mr Monkey’s Blog the premier and most widely read blog in South Tyneside– it seems where Mr Monkey leads others follow.Bloggers will have noticed that after months of prevaricating and coming up with all kinds of shit about why he wasn’t going to publish his stats it seems the Fat Mackem Hobbit has changed his mind – nothing to do with he’s had a better January than the previous few months.

Despite not wanting to enter a “who can piss further contest” he’s changed his mind and done a complete U turn and is now banging on about his stats. Unfortunately we only have his word on this because once again he’s failed to publish his screen shot.

Mr Monkey will leave bloggers to make up their own mind about whether the Hobbit is telling the truth or not, in the meantime here’s the screen shot from Mr Monkey’s Blog.

Another Milestone

'Another Milestone'

'Another Milestone'

Mr Monkey’s Blog reached another milestone yesterday when the total number of views passed the 100,000 mark. It’s taken less than 6 months to reach this landmark and Mr Monkey is proud of his achievements.

Whilst other bloggers talk about how popular they are, this chimp has seen off the competition – such as it was – and established Mr Monkey’s Blog as the Premier Blog in South Tyneside.

Mr Monkey reckons there might be one or two people feeling a bit like George W Bush today suffering from HUW Syndrome – hopeless, useless and worthless.

A Desperate Hobbit

The Fat Mackem Hobbit over at the Shire has had a lot to say today about Mr Monkey and his blog.

Since the hobbit was deposed by this chimp he’s found life in blogsphere very difficult. The thought of being ousted by a mere chimp and abandoned by his little faithful band of brothers seems to have pushed him to the edge – at least that’s the impression he gives in his latest post about Mr Monkey and this chimp can’t help wondering whether it’s the last desperate act of a dying hobbit .. more of this later!

But for now how about sharing your December stats with your fellow bloggers Mr hobbit – a screen grab will suffice.
